Quick update on the biopsy

Thank you to everyone praying and fasting for Bennett. I (Ben) wanted to give a quick update. The biopsy went well and they installed his Hickman line that will be used to administer whatever treatments he may need in the future. The doctors said he did really well and the RSV has not gotten in the way at all. His lungs sound clear and they think he is recovering well. Thank you for praying for that!

Unfortunately, we are now in a waiting game until we get the results back from the biopsy. We expect them on Wednesday, so barring any surprises there shouldn’t be much to share between now and then. Our prayer requests haven’t changes since yesterday’s post…so keep praying for his healing. Thank you!

  1. We are praying for Bennett and for god to bless your family with good results for he has blessed us also

  2. So thankful for the updates and hoping Bennett is feeling ok. Hope mom and dad can get some rest tonight. Thinking about y’all and amazed at your strength. Prayers from all our friends here in Houston.

  3. You all are only known to me by my daughter, Lesley, from Dallas. I want to thank you for the wonderful way your family is modeling Christian faith for anyone going thru trials (of any kind). Please know you can add me to your prayer chain for “baby Bennett”…may God continue to bless your family in the most amazing ways!!

  4. Lifting you all up in prayer! As I read from my Jesus calling devotional today your family was on my heart so I thought I would share a portion

I AM ABLE to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine. Come to me with positive expectations, knowing that there is no limit to what I can accomplish.

  5. So glad to hear that the procedure went well this a.m., and especially that he’s recovering from the RSV. Whisper prayers for Bennett & you guys all day long – gonna keep that going! Take care…

  6. Good morning Bennett. We all wish you, your mommy, daddy and hospital caretakers a blessed day.. We hope you have a fun day cuddling with your mommy and daddy and playing with your new friends. All you children are extra special to God.. He has chosen you all to be very brave soldiers and soldier-ettes for us big people. We are leaning a real lot from your brave examples of totally not asking God why…you just keep going day by day totally accepting that He is totally there for you and with you all the way. Bennett, thank you for teaching us to accept that it is “for His reasons, in His way and in His time frame”. Thank you for bring our example. We wish you a sunshine day.

  7. I am praying today for your peace of mind. Yesterday was the first step to approaching the illness, the turning point. I continue to pray for health and comfort for Bennett as well as peace of mind for the family.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7 NLT)

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:3, 4 NLT)

  8. Good morning Bennett! It is very early and you may still be sleeping. We got to have dinner last night with Dede and Pappa. We had so much fun hearing all about you and your brother and sister. We heard about how well you did with the doctors and nurses. We sent some surprises home with your grandparents to bring to all of you this weekend. Keep getting better and say hi to your mommy and daddy. We may even get to come visit you and I love to play, play play…God bless and keep you all day long!
