Listen for Ben on the radio Friday!

I found out today that a local radio station in Lafayette is doing a radio-thon to raise money for St. Jude.  They heard about our family and called to see if I would be willing to come in their studio and talk about our experience there…and of course I said, “yes!”  The DJ asked if I was comfortable talking to an audience.  I had to laugh. When have I not been comfortable telling a group of total strangers a good story?!

And we all know there is no better story right now than how God is blessing little Bennett with the amazing care at St. Jude’s!  So if you are in the Lafayette area, turn on your radio to 97.3 The Dawg between 1-3pm Friday afternoon.  I should be on at some point during that time.  I don’t know how long and I’m not sure exactly what I’ll get a chance to share. I’m praying that it will inspire others to give to St. Jude and mostly, I’m praying that Jesus will be glorified as people hear of how He is caring for our family. I’ll leave you with a picture of our sweet Bennett sleeping this morning after getting his second round of chemotherapy last night…such a strong little man!

  1. This is great I listen to some stories today and wanted to call station but felt that this is private for all of you. I give to St Jude and several family members do. God bless you all. Prayers for baby Bennett

  2. I and others in our Teche Baptist Breaux Bridge church family have been praying diligently for Bennett and your family. Another St. Jude Fundraiser is being conducted in Lafayette this Saturday, Jan. 25. The UL Up til Dawn organization is having a Chili Cook-Off at Cajun Harley Davidson. Entrance is $5.00-all you can eat chili. Other goodies will also be sold. Please spread the word and “Help Save the Life of a Child”

  3. I wish you guys didn’t have to go through this, but I’m amazed by the ways God is reaching people and helping others through Bennett’s illness. Love you guys.

  4. What a great way to use this to bring others closer to God! I have been praying that God would use your family to reach others through this time. I love the sweet picture of your precious baby sleeping. 🙂

  5. Ben and Megan,
I am praying for Bennett and your family. I am thankful at the way you can witness to the world in the depth of your pain. I will continue to pray for you to have the strength to get through this and baby Bennett’s healing.

  6. Praying for your family Ben. I jumped on board with St. Jude yesterday and set up automatic montnly payments for all of the angels over there. It’s been on my heart to do so for a while now.
Praying for little man to get well and get home soon bud!

  7. This is a daily prayer posted on Our Lady of Lourdes employee website and I wanted to share:

    Hidden Treasures
    I excavate treasures every day.
Hidden in experiences of illness or disappointment are jewels of wisdom waiting to be excavated. Regardless of how these gems disguise themselves, I discover them, like diamonds in the rough. I recognize the pearls of insight inherent in every challenge.
I no longer attempt to solve my problems with limited thinking. Instead, I turn within to discern how to unearth my golden opportunities, my divine inheritance. I receive guidance and know what is mine to do.
I use powerful affirmations as a tool to extract my treasures, and I trust my life will be beautifully enriched. I affirm: I am worthy of all the treasures awaiting my discovery every moment of this day.

I will give you the treasures of darkness and riches hidden in secret places.—Isaiah 45:3
